Driver declared dead on the scene, other five people transported to local hospitals
Late last night, a fatal accident occurred near K Road in Grand Junction. According to reports from the scene, the vehicle drove off a cliff at an excessive rate of speed around 12:30AM.
Six people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Tragically, the driver was declared dead on arrival by emergency responders. The other five passengers were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The Colorado State Patrol and Lower Valley Fire Department responded quickly to the scene and are currently investigating what caused this tragic incident.
