Fatal Accident in Parowan, Utah: Corey Brownlee Killed in Truck Collision

One fatality, southbound lanes of I-15 shut down
One person tragically lost their life in a fatal accident that occurred in Iron County, Utah on Thursday, August 10th. According to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), the incident took place on Interstate 15 near Parowan.
The UHP stated in a press release that a box truck was traveling southbound on I-15 when it unexpectedly rolled over for reasons yet to be determined. The rollover caused the box truck to block the entire southbound roadway at milepost 88.
Due to this obstruction, another semi-truck driving behind was unable to see the box truck until it was too late. Despite attempting to avoid a collision, the second semi collided with the cab of the overturned box truck.
Tragically, Corey Brownlee, a 27-year-old resident of Maunakee, Wisconsin and driver of the box truck, lost his life at the scene of the accident. The authorities have confirmed his identity as they continue their investigation into what led to this devastating incident.
As a result of this collision and subsequent wreckage blocking all lanes of southbound I-15, traffic had no choice but to be diverted onto nearby frontage roads for several hours while emergency crews worked diligently at clearing up debris and investigating further details surrounding this tragic event.
