Nicholas Cauble and Benjamin Asher killed in Cape Girardeau car crash

Two dead, two injured
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two people died in a car crash that occurred on Sunday, May 14th at around 5:21 am. The accident happened in Cape Girardeau, Missouri when Nicholas Cauble was driving with three passengers - Benjamin’s Asher, Stephen Langston and Keagen Winkler. All four individuals were aged 20 years old and from Cape Girardeau.
The vehicle was traveling westbound on Cypress Road at County Road 621 when it failed to stop at a stop sign. It then crossed County Road 621 before running off the right side of the roadway and overturning in a creek bed.
Passengers Langston and Winkler sustained injuries as a result of the crash and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, driver Cauble and passenger Asher did not survive the accident.
Cape Girardeau Co. Coroner Wavis Jordan pronounced both individuals dead at the scene at approximately 6:30 am.
The cause of this fatal accident is still under investigation by authorities.
