Building severely damaged, two fatalities
A devastating car crash resulting from a police chase has caused extensive damage to the building that houses GLOW 414, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources for at-risk youth and young adults.
Tragically, two women aged 20 and 28 lost their lives in the crash that occurred on Wednesday morning in the 2300 block of West Hopkins Street. The driver had been speeding when officers initiated a pursuit after witnessing them run a red light. Unfortunately, they lost control of their vehicle and collided with the GLOW building.
Daniels expressed deep sympathy for the families affected by this loss: "I felt for the families that lost these young ladies. That's who GLOW services help." Founded in 2017 as an acronym for "Girls Learning to become Outstanding Women," GLOW provides education, counseling, and mentoring services specifically tailored towards at-risk youth.
The devastating car crash during a police chase has not only impacted GLOW 414 physically but also it temporarily disrupts their mission of providing essential resources to at-risk youth.
