Fatal Car Crash with Parked Semi in Dodge County Leaves 1 Dead and 3 Injured

One Dead and Several Injured in Car Collision with Parked Semi in Dodge County
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has reported that one person has died and several others were injured after a car collided with a parked semi on US Highway 151 northbound at County Highway M in the Town of Chester. The accident occurred around 8:30 am on Saturday.
According to investigators, a disabled semi with double trailers was pulled over on the northbound shoulder of the road when a car drifted onto the shoulder and hit the semi. The front seat passenger of the car, identified as a 38-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people who were also occupants of the car sustained injuries during this collision. A UW Med Flight helicopter transported the driver, aged 59 years old, to UW Hospital in Madison for serious injuries. A 14-year-old girl was thrown from the vehicle and suffered serious life-threatening injuries; she was initially taken to Marshfield Medical Center before being transferred to UW Hospital later. Additionally, a nine-year-old girl suffered minor injuries and received treatment at SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital.
All four occupants of this vehicle are Fall River residents while it is reported that no harm came upon the 32-year-old driver of the parked semi-truck.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team along with the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office are currently investigating this crash further.
