Fatal Car Crash in Roxboro Claims Lives of Isaac Bowen and Jordan Humphrey

Two teenagers killed, three others seriously injured
A tragic car accident in Person County on Saturday morning has resulted in the loss of two young lives and left three others seriously injured. The incident occurred at approximately 1:19 a.m. along Shiloh Church Road near Dorothy Brooks Lane in Roxboro.
According to authorities, a Sonata was traveling east when it suddenly veered across the center line and careened off the left side of the road, ultimately colliding with a tree. The impact proved fatal for two passengers identified as Isaac Bowen and Jordan Humphrey, who tragically lost their lives at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, Stephen Moore, 18 years old, sustained injuries but they were determined to be non-life-threatening. He was promptly transported to Duke University Hospital for medical treatment. Additionally, two other passengers named Madison Plumley and Tyler Bowen were also taken to Duke University Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The individuals involved in this devastating accident ranged in age from 17 to 18 years old, highlighting just how young these victims were.
Authorities have indicated that alcohol impairment is suspected as a contributing factor leading up to the crash. Investigations into this matter are ongoing as law enforcement officials work diligently to gather all relevant information surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
