Fatal Car vs. Tractor-Trailer Crash in Ferrisburgh Leaves One Dead

One person has died following a car vs. tractor-trailer crash that occurred on Route 7 in Ferrisburgh near Lewis Creek Road.
The incident happened just after midnight and involved a vehicle traveling southbound that veered into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.
According to Vermont State Police, the car caught fire upon impact which then spread to the truck carrying empty kegs to Shelburne. Hazmat teams have been deployed at the scene of the accident, causing multiple agencies to respond and resulting in road closures.
The victim's identity has not yet been released by authorities. As of this morning, Route 7 near Lewis Creek Road remains closed while investigations continue.
