Fatal Crash on Airport Hwy in Toledo Leaves Geraldine Costin Dead

Late Thursday night, a fatal crash occurred on Airport Highway in Toledo, Ohio. According to the Toledo Police Department, 71-year-old Geraldine Costin was driving eastbound on Airport Highway at around 10:45 p.m. when a 37-year-old man drove left of center and crashed into her vehicle at the intersection of Airport Hwy. and Caswell Avenue.
Both drivers were extricated from their cars with serious injuries and transported to an area hospital via life squad. CPR was performed on one of the drivers by crews present at the scene.
Unfortunately, Costin later succumbed to her injuries and passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital.
The cause of this tragic accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Anyone who witnessed or has information about this incident is urged to contact Toledo Police Department immediately.
