All southbound lanes of Highway 99 blocked
A fatal crash has caused the closure of all southbound lanes on Highway 99 at Central Galt on Saturday evening, according to Caltrans. The accident occurred on C Street in Galt involving a semi-truck and sedan that "came off of C Street and came to rest on SR-99," as reported by California Highway Patrol.
As a result, traffic is being diverted off at the Central Galt exit, and there is no estimated time for reopening. Officials are urging drivers to avoid the area while they work to clear up the wreckage.
