Fatal Crash in Carlisle: 26-year-old Man from Newvile Killed

One person has tragically lost their life in a car crash that occurred on Tuesday, July 11, in Cumberland County. The incident took place at approximately 7 p.m. on Ritner Highway in Carlisle.

According to the Cumberland County Coroner, the accident unfolded when a vehicle traveling west on the highway veered out of control. The driver failed to maintain control and ended up going up an embankment before colliding with a utility pole and subsequently rolling over.

Regrettably, the operator of the vehicle, identified as a 26-year-old man from Newvile, did not survive the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. The coroner's office determined that his cause of death was blunt force trauma resulting from the impact.
