Fatal Crash in Chester County: One Person Dead, Three Injured

One fatality, three injuries
In a tragic incident, one person has lost their life and three others have been injured following an early morning crash in Chester County. The accident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. at mile marker 17.2 in East Whiteland Township.
Pennsylvania State Police reported that the collision took place when a 2015 GMC Sierra, driven by Matthew DeAngelis, aged 42, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 202. The vehicle collided head-on with a 2022 Volkswagen Taos.
Tragically, Matthew DeAngelis succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by officials from the Chester County Coroner's Office. Meanwhile, emergency medical services (EMS) rushed all three occupants of the Volkswagen to Paoli Hospital due to suspected life-threatening injuries.
The Embreeville Patrol Unit is currently investigating this devastating crash as they work diligently to determine its cause and gather further details surrounding the incident.
