Man Struck and Killed in Fatal Crash on Highway 101 in South San Francisco

All lanes have since reopened.
Southbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed on Tuesday evening following a crash, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident occurred at Grand Avenue in South San Francisco. CHP officers received reports of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian at approximately 7:05 p.m. Tragically, the pedestrian, identified as a man, was struck and killed.
The authorities stated that the vehicle involved in the collision may have been a Ford van; however, they suspect that more than one vehicle hit the victim. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in connection with this incident.
Immediately after the crash, all southbound lanes were shut down for investigation purposes. However, it has been confirmed that all lanes have since reopened.
