"A driver was killed in an overnight crash in El Cajon, California, authorities confirmed on Sunday morning. The incident occurred at 1:19 a.m. in the 800 block of West Bradley Avenue.
The El Cajon Police Department responded to a call reporting a vehicle collision and found a white 2004 Toyota Tacoma in the roadway. The driver, identified as a 37-year-old woman, had tragically lost her life as a result of the crash.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the solo driver was traveling westbound on West Bradley Avenue when her Tacoma collided with a parked semi-truck trailer on the north curb line. The trailer was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The identity of the victim is known but has not been disclosed pending family notification. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.
It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in this collision, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Authorities urge anyone with information about this incident to contact ECPD at (619) 579-3311."
