Fatal Crash in Harrisburg: Marion Holmes Killed

A fatal crash occurred early Tuesday morning in Harrisburg, resulting in the death of one person. The incident took place at approximately 12:34 a.m. on Holly Street at its intersection with 19th Street.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the collision involved a 2000 white Mercury Sable and a Harrisburg City Police vehicle. Authorities have revealed that the police vehicle was responding to an officer in need of assistance when the accident happened.
Tragically, Marion Holmes, an 18-year-old front seat passenger of the Sable, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel following the crash. Meanwhile, it has been reported that the driver of the Sable fled from the scene on foot.
The officer driving the police vehicle and two rear-seat passengers inside the Sable sustained minor injuries and were treated accordingly.
