One Man Dead in I-470 and Woods Chapel Road Crash

A fatal crash occurred on Thursday afternoon at the intersection of northbound Interstate 470 and Woods Chapel Road, resulting in one death. The incident took place shortly after 3 p.m., causing all lanes to be closed in the area.
According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, "the car crashed into a bridge pillar and then caught fire." Eyewitnesses who were present during the accident pulled the driver out of his vehicle and attempted to save his life before authorities arrived at the scene.
Despite their efforts, however, it was too late for him. The victim's identity has not yet been released by officials.
As a result of this tragic event, northbound traffic had to be diverted onto Woods Chapel Road while emergency responders worked tirelessly to clear up debris from the wreckage site.
