One person has tragically lost their life in a collision at the intersection of Route 9 and Cherry Choke Road in Malta, New York. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon around 3:45 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and an SUV.
According to local authorities, the motorcyclist was rushed to Saratoga Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead. On the other hand, the driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and received treatment.
In response to the crash, surrounding roads were temporarily closed for several hours as first responders meticulously examined the scene. Detours were put into effect to ensure smooth traffic flow during this period of investigation. Fortunately, all roads have since been reopened.
