Fatal Crash Involving FedEx Truck and Passenger Car Leaves Driver Dead

One person has died in a crash that occurred on Wednesday evening at the intersection of Highway 231 and Bayou George Drive, according to Panama City Police officials. The accident involved a FedEx truck and a passenger car.
The incident took place around 8:30 p.m when the FedEx truck was heading north in the outside lane and collided with the passenger car. Sadly, the driver of the car was pronounced dead on scene while their passenger is currently in critical condition. The driver of the FedEx truck sustained unknown injuries.
As a result of this fatal crash, northbound traffic is being diverted as officials conduct their investigation. They estimate that it will take approximately four hours before they can reopen the road.
