39-year-old man from Yankton, South Dakota killed in head-on collision with semi-truck

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred last night in southwestern Minnesota.
The accident involved a semi-truck and a car colliding head-on along Highway 30 in Pipestone County near the South Dakota border.
The preliminary crash report indicates that the semi was traveling west while the car was headed east when the collision happened just before midnight. The incident took place about four miles west of Pipestone city.
As of now, it's unclear whether one or both drivers were killed in the accident. However, authorities have identified the driver of the car as a 39-year-old man from Yankton, South Dakota. The names of those involved have not been released yet.
The State Patrol continues to investigate this tragic incident and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
