Driver of the pickup died, propane truck driver not hurt
The Murfreesboro Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic accident that occurred on Southeast Broad Street near Overlook Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The incident involved a small pickup truck and a propane truck, resulting in the death of the pickup driver.
According to authorities, the crash took place at approximately 9:50 a.m. on Friday when the driver of the inbound pickup veered into the opposite lane and collided with the propane truck. Emergency services promptly responded to the scene upon receiving reports of the collision.
Tragically, the driver of the pickup became trapped inside their vehicle as a result of the impact. However, thanks to swift action from Murfreesboro firefighters, they were successfully extricated from their predicament. Subsequently, they were transported to a local hospital for treatment but sadly succumbed to their injuries later on. As per police protocol, their identity will not be disclosed until next-of-kin have been notified.
Fortunately, no harm befell the driver operating the propane truck during this devastating incident. In order to thoroughly investigate and document all pertinent details surrounding this tragedy, traffic was redirected for several hours while authorities conducted their examination at the scene.
