One Person Dies in Fatal Crash on MacCorkle Avenue in South Charleston

One person tragically lost their life on Wednesday evening following a collision on MacCorkle Avenue near the intersection of Kenna Drive, according to Metro 911 dispatchers. The incident occurred at approximately 5:54 p.m. in South Charleston.
As a result of the crash, the eastbound lanes of MacCorkle Avenue were temporarily closed to facilitate cleanup and investigation efforts.
The South Charleston Police Department has taken charge of the investigation into this devastating incident. Additionally, responding to the scene was the medical examiner's office. Authorities have confirmed that the victim is male; however, his identity has not yet been disclosed.
