A fatal car crash occurred on Friday night in Middletown, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The incident took place just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Tytus Avenue and Mabelle Street when a vehicle collided with a parked car.
According to police reports, both the driver and passenger of the vehicle that hit the parked car were severely injured in the accident. They were immediately taken to Atrium Medical Center for medical attention, where unfortunately, the passenger later succumbed to their injuries.
The authorities have identified speed as a possible contributing factor leading up to this tragic event. As such, an investigation has been launched by both the Middletown Police Department and Butler County Severe Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.
