Fatal Crash Near Siesta Key Beach Leaves One Dead

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has reported that one person died after their vehicle crashed into a power pole near Siesta Key Beach early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at around 2 a.m. on Beach Road, just west of Midnight Pass Road.
According to the sheriff's office, the crash occurred when the driver lost control of their vehicle and struck a power pole. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
Beach Road was closed for several hours following the accident but reopened at approximately 7:30 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder to all drivers to exercise caution while on the road and adhere to traffic laws in order to prevent accidents like this from occurring.
