19-Year-Old Luciel Kohl Killed in Fatal Crash in New Effington, SD

Kohl died at the scene of the crash and was not wearing a seatbelt. Konsor and his 69-year-old passenger were not injured and were wearing seatbelts.
Authorities Release Names of Those Involved in Fatal Crash in South Dakota
On Wednesday, authorities released the names of those involved in a fatal crash that occurred on June 14th and left one person dead. The Department of Public Safety reported that around 9:15 p.m., a Harley Davidson golf cart driven by Luciel Kohl, age 19 from Canton, was traveling west near mile marker 233 on SD Highway 127. A Ford F150 pickup truck driven by James Konsor, age 71 from Sisseton, was traveling east when the golf cart crossed the center line and collided with the pickup.
Unfortunately, Kohl died at the scene of the crash and was not wearing a seatbelt. Konsor and his passenger who is aged 69 were both wearing their seatbelts and were not injured during this incident.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is still investigating this accident; all information released thus far is preliminary.
