Fatal Crash in North Charlotte Under Investigation

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is currently investigating a fatal crash that took place in north Charlotte. According to the police, the incident occurred on the 3800 block of Sunset Road. As of 10 p.m., CMPD has announced that Sunset Road has been closed off in both directions and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
This tragic event comes shortly after another fatal car accident that happened as a result of a high-speed chase spanning two counties. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported this incident earlier today.
