Fatal Crash in Red Wing, MN: Stewartville Woman Killed in Vehicle-Tractor Collision

Fatal crash, one person killed
Authorities in Goodhue County, Minnesota are currently investigating a tragic crash that resulted in the death of a woman from Stewartville. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning near the intersection of County Rd. 1 and 210th Ave., approximately seven miles southwest of Red Wing.
According to a news release from the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle colliding with a tractor. The fatal crash was reported shortly before 10:45 a.m.
The driver of an SUV, identified as 33-year-old Brenna Amos, was traveling eastbound on County Rd. 1 when her vehicle collided with the back end of a manure spreader being towed by a tractor. The operator of the tractor, identified as 65-year-old Lyle Dicke from Goodhue, informed law enforcement that he was driving on a straight stretch of the two-lane highway when he heard a loud bang and felt his equipment being pushed forward.
Dicke immediately dialed emergency services upon realizing that his spreader had been struck by Amos' SUV. Tragically, Amos was pronounced dead at the scene while Dicke managed to escape without any injuries.
In response to this devastating accident, both the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office and State Patrol have arrived at the scene to assist Goodhue County investigators with accident reconstruction efforts. Additionally, local authorities such as the Red Wing Fire Department, Red Wing Ambulance, and Goodhue First Responders provided crucial assistance during this tragic event.
