Fatal Crash on Southbound Highway 17 in San Jose

According to the California Highway Patrol incident page, a fatal crash occurred between a gray minivan and a gray Honda Civic on southbound Highway 17 in San Jose. The accident was first reported at approximately 4:12 a.m. near the Hamilton Avenue offramp.
The collision caused significant traffic delays as all lanes were temporarily shut down. However, as of around 7 a.m., CHP reported that all lanes have since reopened.
Unfortunately, officials confirmed at least one fatality resulting from the crash. Further details about the victim's identity or any other injuries sustained by those involved have not yet been released.
