Fatal Crash in Taylorsville Shuts Down Lanes of Traffic

A fatal crash occurred in Taylorsville, Utah on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the closure of lanes of traffic as officials from the Utah Highway Patrol worked to investigate and clean up the scene. The incident took place on Interstate 215 at milepost 15, near 4700 South in Taylorsville.

As a result of the crash, the eastbound to northbound on-ramp was closed while authorities conducted their investigation. A camera view of the area revealed multiple lanes being shut down and several responders present at the scene.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, the incident began when a concrete pump truck lost one of its tires, rendering it disabled on the freeway. Troopers were already at the location assisting with traffic control when an approaching pickup truck collided into the back of the pump truck.

Tragically, this collision resulted in the death of an adult male who was driving the pickup truck. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for driver operating the pump truck involved in this tragic accident.
