One fatality, driver of the armored truck
One person has tragically lost their life in a devastating crash and subsequent vehicle fire that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The incident took place shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of South Pine Street and Whitestone Glendale Road.
According to the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office, an armored truck collided with the rear end of a dump truck, resulting in a fiery blaze. Unfortunately, the driver of the armored truck was unable to escape from the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames.
Responding swiftly to the scene were members of the South Carolina Highway Patrol as well as multiple fire departments. Their efforts were focused on extinguishing the fire and ensuring public safety amidst this tragic event.
