Fatal Head-On Collision on Cedar Road in University Heights Leaves Unidentified Victims

A tragic head-on collision on Cedar Road near Brockway Road in University Heights, Ohio turned fatal on Saturday afternoon. According to the University Heights police, both vehicles caught fire upon impact and "occupants of the vehicles were determined to be deceased" when they arrived at around 4:30 p.m.
While authorities have not yet identified any victims, one person was reported injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The intersection remained closed for several hours as crews worked to clear debris from the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and police have not released any details about what may have led up to it. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office will release more information once victims are identified.
