Rodney Shires involved in fatal hit-and-run crash in Springfield, MO

Pedestrian Sandra Brown was killed in the crash.
The Springfield Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two individuals believed to be involved in a deadly crash that killed a pedestrian. The incident occurred on April 29 at around 10 p.m. near Fremont Avenue and Lindberg.
According to the police report, a motorcycle driven by Rodney Shires struck Sandra Brown, a pedestrian. Shires left the scene of the accident, and shortly after, another car hit Brown. The driver of the second vehicle also fled the scene.
The police are now seeking to question the driver of a 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, who was accompanied by a female passenger. The authorities believe that the two individuals may have information that could help with the investigation.
Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or either of the individuals is urged to contact the Springfield Police Department's Traffic Unit at 417-864-1447 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS.
The police department is still investigating the incident, and anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
