42-year-old male and 43-year-old woman injured in fatal motorcycle accident

Two people were seriously injured and one person has died.
One man and one woman were seriously injured in a highway crash that occurred on Sunday around 4:18 p.m. The incident took place approximately six miles east of Fortuna in Divide County. As per the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old man from Williston was driving his pickup truck south on Divide County Road 2 when he collided with two individuals riding a motorcycle traveling east on Hwy 5.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 42-year-old male along with his passenger - a 43-year-old woman both hailing from Canada - were thrown off their bike and sustained serious injuries. They were immediately transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Crosby and later transferred to Trinity Health in Minot for further treatment.
Unfortunately, the woman involved in the accident passed away due to her injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck remained unharmed during this incident while NDHP continues its investigation into this matter.
