Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Indianapolis

Indianapolis police are currently investigating a fatal accident that occurred on the east side of the city. The incident took place at the intersection of East 12th Street and North Arlington Avenue, shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to a spokesperson from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), a motorcyclist lost their life in the crash. Investigators believe that an adult male motorcyclist was traveling southbound on North Arlington Avenue at a high rate of speed when they collided with a Dodge Durango. The Durango was attempting to make a westward turn onto East 12th Street from North Arlington Avenue.
Fortunately, the driver of the Durango remained at the scene following the collision. Authorities have confirmed that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of impact.
The investigation into this tragic accident is ongoing as police work to gather more information about what led up to it. No further details regarding potential factors or circumstances surrounding this incident have been released thus far.
