Garrett Tvrs Dies in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Sidney

Garrett Tvrs passed away from his injuries at 6:25 p.m.
A fatal accident occurred on Monday afternoon at the intersection of Jennifer Lane and Link 17J in Sidney, Nebraska. The incident involved a motorcycle and a sedan that collided with each other, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another.
According to the Cheyenne County Sheriff's office, Curtis Strausser was driving his 2014 Ford Focus southbound on Link 17J when he attempted to turn east onto Jennifer Lane. Unfortunately, he struck Garrett Tvrs' northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle at around 5:37 p.m.
The impact caused damage to the front of Strausser's car while Tvrs' motorcycle tipped over near the median. Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Sidney Regional Medical Center for treatment.
However, Tvrs passed away from his injuries at approximately 6:25 p.m., while an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday morning. There is no news yet regarding Strausser's condition after sustaining injuries from the crash.
Strausser received citations for Improper Lane Turn, Failure to Yield, and misdemeanor Motor Vehicle Homicide as authorities continue their investigation into what happened. The northbound lanes and one southbound lane of Link 17J were closed during this time until they cleared out everything from the scene.
