Fatal Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down FM 1431 in Jonestown, Texas

One fatality, one person with serious injuries
FM 1431 has reopened on Sunday afternoon following a tragic motorcycle crash earlier in the day. Emergency crews swiftly responded to the scene of a two-motorcycle collision in Jonestown on Sunday morning.
The Austin-Travis County EMS received notification of the crash at approximately 9 a.m. The incident occurred in the 19400 block of FM 1431. Responding to the emergency were personnel from North Lake Travis Fire Department, Travis County Sheriff’s Office, and Travis County Star Flight.
ATCEMS later confirmed that one patient succumbed to their injuries at the crash site. However, they also reported that another adult trauma patient had been transported to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center with severe injuries which are not expected to be life-threatening.
To ensure public safety and facilitate necessary investigations and cleanup operations, both eastbound and westbound lanes along FM 1431 were temporarily shut down.
