Fatal Multi-Car Collision in St. Peter: Judith Gardner, Daniel Kelley, and Robert Gardner Involved

One fatality, several injuries
On Monday night, a tragic multi-car collision occurred on Highway 169 in St. Peter, Minnesota, resulting in the death of a local man. The incident took place at approximately 5:30 p.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision was caused by a failure to yield. Judith Gardner, an 86-year-old resident of St. Peter, was driving northbound on Hwy. 169 when she attempted to make a left turn onto South Washington Ave. Unfortunately, her vehicle collided with another car traveling southbound driven by Daniel Kelley from Chanhassen.
While Kelley sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash, Gardner's injuries were classified as life-threatening. Tragically, Robert Gardner (79), who was a passenger in Judith Gardner's vehicle and also from St. Peter, lost his life at the scene.
The impact of this collision led to another accident when a separate vehicle had to suddenly brake to avoid the scene and ended up being rear-ended by another car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this secondary incident.
