Fatal One Vehicle Accident near Hanover, Kansas

A tragic accident occurred near Hanover, Kansas in Washington County on Friday, resulting in a fatality. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Nicholas Bennett from Manhattan, Kansas. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), Bennett was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck west on Kansas Highway 148 when the vehicle veered off the left side of the road and overturned before coming to rest on its roof.
Regrettably, Nicholas Bennett lost his life at the scene of the accident. The KHP is currently investigating why the pickup truck left the highway around 12:10 p.m., but no conclusive information has been released thus far. The crash site is located approximately five miles south of Hanover.
Authorities have determined that Bennett was not wearing a safety restraint at the time of the incident. Additionally, there were no other individuals present in the pickup truck during this unfortunate event.
