Fatal Pedestrian Crash in South Burlington, Vermont

The pedestrian died, driver taken to the hospital.
Police are currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Monday night, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. Authorities responded to reports of a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash at the intersection of Shelburne Road and Fayette Drive around 8:45 p.m.
The victim was reportedly crossing Shelburne Road when the collision took place. Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save their life, they later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not been released by law enforcement at this time.
The driver involved in the accident was also taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this point.
