Fatal Semi-Truck Crash on I-75 in Alachua County Leaves Georgia Man Dead

One person dead, one minor injury, and one uninjured.
According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, a fatal accident occurred on Wednesday at 2:36 am involving two semi-trailer trucks on Interstate 75 in Alachua County. The incident took place near mile marker 380 and resulted in the death of one person.
The crash involved a tan truck driven by a 34-year-old man from Miami Gardens that was hit from behind in the right lane by a blue truck driven by a 55-year-old man from Fitzgerald, Georgia. Unfortunately, the Georgia driver did not survive the accident while his passenger, a ten-year-old girl suffered minor injuries. The driver of the tan truck was unharmed.
This is not an isolated incident as another similar accident happened recently when another truck hit SW 66th Street/Williams Road overpass on northbound I-75 in Ocala.
Further details about this tragic event are yet to be released as authorities continue their investigation into what caused this deadly collision.
