One person has died following a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon, according to Lance Corporal Brittany Glover with South Carolina Highway Patrol. The incident took place at around 1:26 pm on Interstate 20 at mile marker 35 near Aiken.
The vehicle involved was identified as a 2014 Kia Optima traveling eastbound on I-20 when it ran off the road and struck a tree in the median. Unfortunately, the driver did not survive the crash and there were no other passengers present.
