Fatal Single-Vehicle Car Wreck on Indianapolis' Near Northeast Side

Local police have reported that a person has died after a single-vehicle car wreck on Indianapolis' near northeast side. The incident occurred on Monday at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Tipton Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found one vehicle with an occupant who had sustained injuries caused by the collision. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) crews arrived on the scene to provide treatment, but the person inside the car was pronounced dead on the spot.
According to a release sent by IMPD at around 9:10 p.m., "IMPD-certified accident investigators arrived and took over the investigation. The investigation is still active and ongoing."
