Southbound Interstate 5 in Carlsbad, California came to a complete halt on Saturday morning due to a traffic collision. The incident occurred at Palomar Airport Road and was reported by Caltrans San Diego at 5:49 a.m. At that time, it was confirmed that all lanes were blocked and traffic was being diverted at the exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved three vehicles and was reported at 4:40 a.m. The accident took place just north of Palomar Airport Road. Unfortunately, CHP has confirmed that the incident resulted in a fatality. However, no further details have been provided regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash.
