Fatal Two-Truck Collision on Idaho State Highway 25 in Minidoka County

One fatality, one injured
A tragic accident on Saturday, July 22nd, resulted in the death of one man and left another injured after a collision between two trucks on Idaho State Highway 25 near milepost 43 in Minidoka County. The incident occurred at approximately 2:11 p.m., according to the Idaho State Police.
The crash involved a hay hauler being driven eastbound by a 68-year-old man from Heyburn and a cargo truck being driven westbound by a 41-year-old man from Kimberly. Preliminary investigations suggest that the cargo truck crossed over the center line, leading to a head-on collision with the hay hauler.
Tragically, the driver of the cargo truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The identity of this individual has not been released pending notification of their family members. Meanwhile, emergency responders transported the driver of the hay hauler to a local hospital via ambulance. At present, there is no information available regarding their condition.
Following this devastating incident, traffic was blocked for approximately five hours on Saturday afternoon as authorities worked diligently to clear up debris and investigate further details surrounding what transpired.
Law enforcement officials are currently conducting an investigation into this unfortunate event to determine its cause fully. As such, they have urged anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behavior or believes they spotted an impaired driver prior to or during this incident to report it immediately using Idaho State Police's REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) hotline.
