Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 20 in Stephenson County

One person died at the scene, two others injured.
A tragic two-vehicle crash on Friday morning has resulted in the death of at least one person. The incident occurred on U.S. 20 near Klinger Road, according to authorities.
Sheriff's deputies reported that the collision took place around 10:30 a.m. when a minivan was making a turn from Klinger Road onto Route 20 and was struck by an eastbound pickup truck. As a result of the impact, the van skidded off the road and into a nearby ditch.
Tragically, investigators confirmed that the individual inside the van succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident. Meanwhile, emergency rescue teams rushed two occupants from the pickup truck to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
