Father of Four Killed in Violent Incident on Cross Bronx Expressway

Suspect turned violent after victim started recording him
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), a suspect in a fatal incident on the Cross Bronx Expressway became violent after the victim started recording him at the scene of an accident. The incident occurred near the Jerome Ave. exit in Morris Heights just before 11 p.m. on Friday night.
The victim, identified as Fausto Rodriguez, was driving his Honda Accord when he was rear-ended by the driver of a stolen Ford Edge. The NYPD revealed this information on Tuesday.
Details surrounding the altercation are still emerging, but it is believed that Rodriguez began recording the suspect following their collision. This action apparently triggered a violent response from the suspect.
Unfortunately, Rodriguez did not survive this encounter and leaves behind four children who will now have to cope with their father's untimely death.
Further information regarding any arrests or charges related to this case has not been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work diligently to gather evidence and determine what led to such a tragic outcome.
