Fiery crash causes closures on Route 53 in Schaumburg

All lanes have since reopened.
Illinois State Police reported a fiery crash involving two vehicles on Route 53 in Schaumburg on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred at around 5:49 p.m. and caused the closure of all lanes just north of Devon Avenue. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
Chopper 7HD was able to capture footage of the scene, which showed the extent of the damage to the two vehicles involved in the crash. Traffic was able to pass through on the shoulder of Route 53 while the lanes were blocked.
As of now, all lanes have been reopened, and police have not provided any further information about the incident.
