Fiery Crash Leaves One Dead on 101 Freeway in Studio City

One fatality, two injured
A tragic accident occurred on the 101 Freeway in Studio City early Thursday morning, resulting in one fatality. The incident took place around 3 a.m. when a vehicle collided with a construction truck and burst into flames near the 134 Freeway, as reported by the California Highway Patrol's traffic incident log.
The vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames while its driver remained trapped inside. Authorities dispatched a coroner's vehicle to recover the body following this fatal incident, according to information provided by the CHP. Additionally, two individuals who were working within the construction truck, described as a striper truck, were reportedly transported to the hospital for treatment.
To manage the aftermath of this devastating crash and facilitate investigations, officials issued a SigAlert at approximately 3:40 a.m., leading to the closure of all but one lane on eastbound lanes of the 101 Freeway. As of 6:45 a.m., traffic was still restricted to just one lane.
