One dead in fiery Tempe crash

One person died

Tempe police reported that one person died in a fiery crash that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The incident took place near Scottsdale Road and Rio Salado Parkway at around 3 a.m.

According to the authorities, when they arrived at the scene, they found a car on fire with someone still inside. Firefighters were called to put out the fire, and they were able to pull the person out of the car. However, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released yet. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the crash.

As a result of the incident, the area surrounding the Rio Salado & Scottsdale intersection will be closed throughout the morning. Detectives are urging drivers to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
