Fire Truck Hit While Responding to Crash on Ohio Highway

A fire truck from the Licking Township Fire Company sustained significant damage after being hit while responding to a crash on Interstate 70 east at mile marker 137 in Newark, Ohio. The incident occurred overnight on Saturday.
According to a report, the rescue vehicle was dispatched at around 1:30 a.m. to respond to an accident on the highway. At approximately 2:10 a.m., while law enforcement officials were still present at the scene, a car collided with the fire truck that was being used to protect officers from traffic.
The cause of both accidents is currently under investigation. Further details about this incident are yet to be disclosed by authorities involved in handling this case.
