Five people hospitalized after work truck crash in west Phoenix

Five people were hospitalized, one woman is fighting for her life.
Five people were hospitalized after a crash involving a work truck in west Phoenix on Wednesday night. The incident occurred at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, north of McDowell Road, around 5:30 p.m.
According to firefighters, a woman was thrown from the car and is currently fighting for her life in the hospital. Three girls and a man were also taken to the hospital as a precaution, police said.
The cause of the crash is still unknown, and a police investigation is underway. As a result, a road closure is in place for 43rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.
The incident is still under investigation.
