Five Teenagers Killed in Florida Car Accident
Authorities have confirmed that five teenagers were killed in a car accident in Fort Myers, Florida. The incident occurred when their vehicle ran off the road and landed in a retention pond, where it quickly went underwater.
The identities of the victims have been released as Eric Paul, 19; Jackson Eyre, 18; Amanda Ferguson, 18; Breanna Coleman, 18; and Jesus Salinas, 18.
Paul, Eyre, Ferguson and Coleman all worked together at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. They had gone out together after finishing their Sunday night shifts to get fast food.
The crumpled Kia sedan was pulled from the water on Monday following the tragic accident which happened either late Sunday or early Monday morning. On Tuesday morning Fort Myers Police confirmed their identities.
In response to this tragedy Texas Roadhouse closed its doors for business on Monday so that friends and family could grieve together at a dinner where flowers were placed alongside framed pictures of those who lost their lives.
